A cursory glance at eBay Motors shows that there aren’t a lot of 1930’s Pontiacs listed for sale. Something that apparently was for sale used to be one. Now, it’s a black and yellow contortion of metal and wire due to some… um, innovation.
There are few vehicles more awesome than a proper, early 1900’s American road rod. But this mash-up of gangster and farmer should be described more with gurgles and chokes than words like awesome, or proper.
Please stop ruining sweet vehicles, people. Tinker with a Hyundai – something nobody will miss.

Why is it any of you business what somebody does with their car? You would probably have a heart attack over the resto-mods that I build out of early Corvettes! Everybody has their own vision about what a custom car should be, and it does not have to fit your narrow view. Most of us really don’t really care if you are angry or not, as it is our money not yours. Your opinion really matters a whole lot less than somebody who actually has skin in the game? Why don’t you go build you own car, and quit knocking someone else’s ride!
John — beauty is in the eye of the beholder… and all that. But there’s also something to be said about the stock nature of all cars, especially classics — wouldn’t you say?
Alex,
Sure there is, and I have built many pure restorations over the years including some national NCRS award winners, as well as many customs. I love all manner of vehicles, and try to never impose my view of what is a beautiful car, on any other person. I just don’t get the constant knocking of other peoples rides on forums, when they do not conform to the view of the poster. I can appreciate the work and effort that went into any car build, even if it is not my cup of tea.
Regards, John McGraw
John is right id be proud to have that i camp alot and i think itd be awesome for a weekend out with the kids or out for the hell of it
I own that piece of Americana now. Bought the car but not the trailer. We are in the process of a complete overhaul restoration AND building a new trailer out of a 1994 Prowler RV frame. If you don’t like a vehicle, keep your mouth shut. Too many people out there with their “feelings” on their sleeve. The liberal left has made every word, phrase, restoration or whatever a bad thing IF they don’t like it. TOO BAD! I have it and I LOVE IT. So do a lot of folks at parades and campgrounds too.
