If you think you’re allergic to the Opel Corsa and require something smaller, GM may have your medicine on the way. Spy photos taken this week show a production mule using a shortened Opel Corsa body driving around the European countryside. Reportedly called the Opel Allegra, this supermini is believed to be Opel’s answer to cars such as the VW Fox and Ford Ka.
Not much is known of the Allegra design — but it could resemble the Opel Trixx Concept that showed up in 2004, with powertrains speculated to range from fuel-efficient gas and diesel to even an electric vehicle. The Allegra could start production sometime in 2013.
