With the unveiling of the 550 horsepower ZL1 at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show last week, the Chevrolet Camaro has been the talk of the town… and it’s safe to say that enthusiasts of the award-winning pony car are jumping for joy all around the globe. But the news doesn’t stop there, oh no, as the latest word is that Chevy plans on releasing a limited-edition Camaro every six months.
However, don’t hold your breath for a better ZL1 every six months. Instead, we will most likely see such models as the Camaro Convertible Indy 500 Pace Car and another take on the Synergy Edition Camaro (pictured above) for what Chevy hopes will keep the red-hot interest of the pony car smoldering onwards into the future until we are introduced to a sixth generation Camaro, which is rumored to share the same platform as the upcoming Cadillac ATS.
