GM Foundation Donates To New Zealand Earthquake Relief Efforts

On February 22, 2011, a 6.3 richter earthquake leveled much of the area in and around Christchurch, New Zealand, leaving much of its residents without homes, and homeowners fortunate enough not to have their places reduced to rubble were left without running water, let alone working toilets or showers.

Thankfully the General Motors Foundation through Holden stepped up and donated $200,000 to the earthquake relief efforts in Christchurch, New Zealand. The GM Foundation has helped with past earthquake-recovery efforts in Hati, as well as flood relief in Queensland, Australia,  Tennessee, and Kentucky.
