Boy does this feel like Christmas Eve! Wednesday February 9th is the press day for the Chicago Auto Show — and the GM Authority crew will be present and accounted for, bringing your the best General Motors coverage from the event!
As far as we know, Chevrolet will be the only GM brand with a press conference at Chicago, with Buick having announced the Regal eAssist just a few short hours ago. There are rampant rumors of a Zeta-based vehicle, although what — exactly — it will be still remains a mystery: we’ve heard everything from the Camaro Z28 (or whatever it ends up being called), Monte Carlo, and even Lumina. Of course, all the rumors may turn out to be false just yet.
So be sure to check back to GM Authority tomorrow as we blog right from the show floor. Chevy kicks the show off at 9:15 in the am.
In the meantime, what do you think Chevy will announce at Chicago? Sound off in the comments!
Update: the press conferences are over — and here are the results: Chevrolet brought the Camaro ZL1 — as opposed to the Camaro Z28 as expected earlier. Buick also brought the Verano Turbo — which is the first time we’ve seen the Delta II-based sedan with that particular powerplant in public.

I just hope the “Camaro-based” vehicle doesn’t turn out to be the 30-mpg Camaro that this and a few other sites have reported on, as that would be a huge letdown for me and considering the hype this story has received across the tubes.
