Chevrolet Volt Left Out Of World Car Of The Year Nominees

Audi A1, Audi A8, BMW 5 Series, BMW X3, Jaguar XJ, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Nissan LEAF, Porsche Cayenne, and the Volvo S/V60. For some reason, the Chevrolet Volt was left out of the shortlist picture of the 2011 World Car of the Year award nominees. The current list of ten will be thinned out to a list of just three, with the winner to be announced at the 2011 New York International Auto Show in April. 1. The reason the Volt was left out is that it is ineligible. To qualify as World Car it has to be sold in at least five countries on at least two continents. Maybe next year.
