Chevrolet Equinox Wins USA Today Crossover Shootout

The Chevrolet Equinox recently took the first place award in the USA Today $29,000 SUV Shootout. The test, performed by USA Today, Cars.com, and PBS’ Motorweek, pulled together nine vehicles each with price tags matching or coming in below $29,000.

The nine vehicles were then put through a series of tests and judged by a family to decide which one was the best. The Equinox received top marks for its four-cylinder engine, fit and finish, and the features a family desires in a vehicle. The Chevy beat out other favorites such as the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tuscon, Subaru Forester, Nissan Rogue, Toyota RaV4, Ford Escape and Honda CR-V.

“The Equinox is the clear winner in my book, seemingly belonging to a completely different category of cars: the luxury category,” wrote one of the reviewers.
