With awards from Automobile Journalists Association of Canada and NADA Guides, the Buick Regal has been filling its trophy cabinet quite nicely over the past few months. Now, U.S. News & World Report has named the Regal the “Best Car for the Money” in the upscale sedans category.
The publication based its picks on analysis of reviews, reliability, and safety, asserting that its reason for picking the Regal originates from positive impressions of reviewers as well as the “handsome exterior and comfortable interior” and “performance that balances fuel economy and power, handling and ride comfort.” With all the awards the Regal has been piling up, GM might want to think about getting its hands on a larger cabinet while it strategizes on the next-generation version of the Epsilon II-based midsizer… and how it will fit in the Buick lineup going forward.
