Though the average age of the GM Authority staff member is probably 21, we can’t wait to turn 40. Especially if we make it out to be the next American Badass (a.k.a. Detroit’s own Kid Rock) and throw a birthday party at a 60,000-seat football arena in the Motor City, and get a decked-out Chevy Camaro SS on top of it.
Presented to The Kid by the now-legendary Chevrolet NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson, the car features unique graphics on the rear window of his clothing line (Made In Detroit) and of his brewing company (Badass Beer) on the hood. The pony car also features black wheels, the no. 40 slapped on the doors, and — of course — a license plate that reads “BADASS”. However, the Camaro’s all-over blacked-out glass is illegal in the lovely Mitten State, though we wager he won’t be doing much driving with this memento.
Ironically, The Kid threw his birthday bash/concert at Ford Field, with no Mustangs in sight. We would have gone, but we were just too tired from providing you the best General Motors 2011 North American International Auto Show coverage on the known interwebs.
