Opel is making its next move in its export offensive. With the German brand already alive in Chile and Israel, the next country in Opel’s sights is Australia, with plans to play in the same market as Holden by 2012.
“This launch is an important part of our international expansion strategy. With its growing demand for German design and technology, the Australian car market is an excellent opportunity for Opel. Australian drivers have a strong affinity with Opel vehicles,” said Opel CEO Nick Reilly.
The lineup of vehicles for Australia could include the Astra, Corsa, and Insignia, among others.

Why not Vauxhall?
Sounds good if they bring the Insignia to Australia.
