All-New Zafira Hits Internet Well Ahead Of Geneva

Opel/Vauxhall’s next generation Zafira is getting close to its expected debut at the Geneva Motor Show this coming March, but the folks over at Auto Express have managed to attain photos of the next-generation compact MPV. The design of the new Zafira has been graced with a very modern and tasteful look by taking major cues from the Ampera extended ranged electric vehicle while ridding itself of passenger sliding doors.

The Delta-II based MPV also carries cues from its smaller sibling, the Gamma-II based Meriva MPV with its overall shape and tail-lights that extend around the sides – though passenger suicide doors remain an exclusive on the Meriva.

The engine range will feature a 1.6 liter and a turbocharged 1.6 liter four cylinder that will deliver 114 bhp and 178 bhp, respectively. Being for the European market and all, the Zafira will offer a diesel lineup consisting of 1.7 and 2.0 liter four cylinder engines, while those hoping for a VXR version will have to look elsewhere. The Zafira will go on sale at the end of 2011 for around £19,000. For more photos click on the link provided below.
