Yes, we already know that the Chevy Cruze is at the top of its class (even though first-month sales results may prove to the contrary). In the U.S., the Cruze is marketed in a very competitive fashion — calling out direct competitors by name and telling everyone why it is the better vehicle than those segment stalwarts. The Cruze even goes hunting, on occasion.
But in the Philippines, the Cruze carries a totally different message — one that’s more playful and youthful. Just watch this ad and you’ll see what we’re talking about…
If — just like yours truly here — you couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on in this commercial off the bat, here’s what I’ve gathered: the gentleman in the ad is treating the Cruze as his girlfriend (“You smell good”, I can hold you forever”) while pointing out the various features of the Delta II-based sedan. So, what do you think? Yay — or nay?
