“Folks, of all the cars, no offense, General Motors, please, but of all the cars in the world, the Chevrolet Volt is the Car of the Year? Motor Trend magazine, that’s the end of them. How in the world do they have any credibility? Not one has been sold. The Volt is the Car of the Year.” – Rush Limbaugh
Who else? Seriously, who else besides Rush Limbaugh would have the audacity to dismiss the Chevrolet Volt for being awarded the North American Car of the Year by Motor Trend Magazine — a car that won heavily due to the factor of it being an engineering work of art .
It’s only a factor so obvious Limbaugh that it makes us wonder if the radio talk show host is actually being paid to look stupid and play the card of ignorance. Regardless, the seasoned veterans of the World’s most popular automotive publication would not stand to be insulted by a three-time divorcee who has absolutely no credentials to speak on anything automotive, yet still possesses the spotlight to convince people otherwise.
MT’s own Todd Lassa wasted no time at all in publishing a rebuttal to Limbaugh’s statements. Let’s just say he managed to sharply incorporate the words “Oxycontin” and “unExxonMobil” to really hang the Republican extremist out to dry. To read Lassa’s remarks, click on the link we provided below.
