Rumormill: Next Generation Sierra HD Concept To Debut At NAIAS 2011

Let’s face it, the fact that the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks are nearly indistinguishable both inside and out is getting pretty old. Thankfully, the design team at General Motors has taken note of this is currently hard at work developing all-new looks for both the Silverado and Sierra twins – except this time around you won’t have to squint to tell the difference. And according to reports, a concept model of the GMC Sierra HD will be revealed at the North American International Auto Show in January 2011.

While we don’t exactly have a picture of what the next generation behemoth will look like, we do have some expectations. If you recall, Pickuptrucks.com released illustrated and educated predictions of both the next-gen Silverado and Sierra earlier this year (about which we talked with Editor-in-Chief Mike Levine himself on the GM Authority Weekly podcast). We feel we will see in Detroit come January what we saw in the drawings, albeit larger and more HD-ish.
