  1. Bring back the Chevelle!!! An awesome name for an awesome sedan!!! Whatever you do, please name it anything but Caprice. I think of a big bloated barge when I hear Caprice.

    1. Dylan, thanks for your comment.

      Chevelle is a great name.

But keep in mind that we don’t make any GM decisions since we’re not related to GM in any way – we’re an INDEPENDENT fan site. That said, we’re fans of GM and The General’s products 🙂

  2. Chevelle is an awesome name, but this car is likely 4 door only, unless I’m missing something. Dodge has taken a lot of heat for hanging the name “Charger” on a 4 door sedan. For the record, yes, I know there were 4 door Chevelles, but in reality who remembers them? Everyone remembers the legendary LS6 Chevelle SS, the SS396, and the awesome Yenkos- all 2 doors.

I suggest Chevy come up with a new name for this car. It really has little to do with the past.

  3. GM has a much improved lineup. The Cobalt is gone and replaced with a well made Holden designed Cruze. The Malibu is an award winner (Also, “Malibu” used to be a trim level on the Chevelle I believe). The Camaro is amazing, and the Vette is better than ever. Enter the Impala. It’s in dire need of a redesign, and currently it has no performance model. The Gazelle needs a facelift and the performance it once had. Bring back The Commodore as an Impala, and make it more aggressive in the front than the current Chevy Lumina in overseas markets. This would be just in time for the upcoming changover the manufacturers will be making in NASCAR as well. Come on GM…get back to doing things that make sense! What a GREAT AMERICAN lineup this would be. Something for everyone – Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Camaro, and Corvette. Looks good against Focus, Fusion, Taurus, and Mustang.

  4. it doesn’t matter what they call it I have a G8 with ongoing suspension issues They need to make cars on this platform safe and reliable for this market. I suggest that GM take care of its G8 owners before they bring the same car (with the same issues) to the U.S. market. I love my G8, but I can’t be into a car that has issues that GM hasn’t been able to fix up to this date. Check out the various G8 blog sites and listen to both the praise and concerns.
