What are actors Patrick Warburton and Craig Robinson doing in a mountain lodge drinking motor oil? They happen to be personifying The General’s Duramax engine and Allison transmission, as found in the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra Heavy Duty pickup trucks.
The fairly humorous set of commercials appears to be poking fun at Ford’s all-new 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine and the fact that it’s not even a year old, whereas the 6.6L Duramax has been tried and true since 2001, having raked up over 20 billion miles across the country.
