Much like the boiling demand to once again see a reincarnation of the Pontiac G8, scores of individuals are hoping to one day see the Chevrolet El Camino in dealerships. What was once going to be the stillborn Pontiac G8 ST here in States, the Holden Commodore Ute is just another vehicle from Australia that makes many Yanks jealous. Now an Aussie has gone and done something to make them even more jealous.
What you see pictured above is not exactly an outright Chevrolet El Camino, but Commodore Ute SS featuring the face ripped off of a Chevrolet Camaro. Luke Bromidge, the Australian responsible for the conversion spent months on the project that is capable of fitting any VE Series Commodore with the face of the burly and aggressive Camaro. At least it looks like a lot of effort went into this particular job, and not the Lamborghini-inspired Camaro chop job we reported on last month.
But does the face-job really work for the look of the Ute? Sound off your thoughts in the comments below.

This is awesome…Im IN!
The Camaro front end would be a great addition adding to the brand identity. This is a very good look for the UTE. If they pay attention to the drive-train offerings I feel it would be a winner.
Looks like a temporal causality loops. Personally I like the Holdens and Vauxhalls better than the more American appearance of Chevy-ization.
