All-New Aveo Begins Korean Production In 2011

Chevrolet’s Fiesta-fighting little machine, which we are still calling the Aveo (despite the rumors of a name change,) is just months away from beginning production in South Korea. Why South Korea? Because that’s where the car was designed and engineered, thanks to GM-Daewoo.

Though the production of the all-new Chevrolet Aveo will introduce itself early next year in South Korea, it won’t make its way into the U.S. market until 2012, when it begins domestic production at the Orion Township, MI assembly plant along with the Buick Verano. Until then, feel free to enjoy our extensive review video of the outgoing model.

  1. Does anyone know if OnStar will offer on the new 2012 “Aveo” the optional “Destination Download”? I’m a GPS Graphic Interface kind of guy & would really like to see this option expand from other GM models.
