GMC Teams Up With NFL & ESPN For Marketing, Giveaway

In partnership with the NFL and ESPN, GMC has launched the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week, where football fans can vote on three NFL moments or plays of the week that represent determination and perseverance. After Monday Night Football, fans will have the ability to vote on three moments from the week’s regular football season. Upon voting, each fan will also have the ability to enter for a chance to win a weekly prize of a trip for two to Super Bowl XLV in North Texas.

“GMC trucks and SUV’s are characterized by engineering excellence that results from a never say never attitude, the same type of excellence exemplified each week by NFL players,” said Craig Bierley, Director of Buick GMC Advertising and Sales Promotion. We are proud that GMC is The Official Vehicle of the NFL and are looking forward to giving fans the chance to determine the best moment of the week that demonstrates professional grade willpower and strength.”

After the regular season comes to an end, fans will be able to vote on the winning Never Say Never Moment of the Week segment of the past 17 weeks and enter for a chance to win the grand prize – a hot new 2011 GMC Sierra Denali. Voting and contest details are available here.

The GM Authority Take

Talk about marketing! GMC is one of those brands that’s not entirely easy to understand at first glance. Nevertheless, the GMC customer is different than your average Chevy buyer – so it’s nice to see some differentiation in the marketing department to reach the target audience. At the end of the day, let’s give GMC credit for realizing that GMC and football can go hand- in-hand.
