Vauxhall Red Victor 3: A 3000 HP Street-Legal Drag Car

Vauxhall has shown off renderings of its Red Victor 3 – a custom-built drag car that uses an 8.8 liter turbocharged GM V8 stuffed into a heavily modified 1967 Victor FD Body. The Victor was a vehicle produced by Vauxhall between 1957 and 1978. It replaced the Vauxhall Wyvern and was superseded by the Carlton. The 8.8 liter engine is good for 3000 horsepower and the car’s top speed is rated at 240 mph, with a quarter mile of 6.5 seconds (yes, you read that correctly).

Now you may be thinking; well that’s great and all, but this vehicle must be a trailer queen, right? Wrong. The Red Victor 3 is very much street legal (yes, you also read that correctly).

If you ask us, driving a 3000 hp vehicle on the street is a completely different question, but if you so desire, the Red Victor 3 will make its debut at VXR Power Festival that runs August 28 -29.
