Camaro Wins World Car Design Of The Year

It’s no secret that the fifth-gen Camaro is in popular demand. It’s this demand that led to the recent 100,000 units made production milestone. Over 80,000 Camaros have been sold since the muscle car’s launch in Q2 2009. Sales have beat those of the Mustang for 10 months straight and the recent announcement that the Camaro has won the World Car Design of the Year award definitely can’t hurt.
Announced at the New York International Auto Show, the award was selected by five international design experts and had many nominees, including Citroen C3 Picasso and the Kia Soul. The most storied of the these vehicles, the Camaro has a loyal following that appreciates its emotional design that creates emotion for the brand in Chevrolet’s new markets, achieving the goal of halo cars past and present.
