GM Authority has learned that GM is still in the process of evaluating bids for Saab and that a meeting between Swedish government representatives and GM executives took place today in Detroit at 1100 local time. The Swedish officials, led by Joran Hägglund, walked away with a clear understanding of the current bidding scene and a take-away that Saab is still for sale.
Meanwhile, Saab production at Trolhättan has resumed after the holidays, with the Saab 9-3, 9-5, and next-generation 9-5 all having been built today (pictured). The first 9-3 Convertible built at the Swedish plant will be built tomorrow.
And that’s it for your daily Saab Sales Saga update, more as it happens.
