From The Past: Universal Studios’ 1957 Chevy Bel Air

While covering Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando (for Destination: Theme Park), I had a chance to see this beautiful ’57 Chevy Bel Air. It was parked in front of Mel’s Diner and – to my surprise – one of the park’s employees actually got in the car and drove it a few blocks, only to park it again, which is where I was able to snap some pics.

It’s really surprising that Universal lets people drive this beauty and leave it outside, under Florida’s blistering sun (let alone faces the possibility of someone bumping into the car and/or scratching it up). If it were up to me, I’d stow this this away in a roofed garage, wax it, and let absolutely no one near it! But that’s just me.
