2019 Chevrolet Tahoe
We expect the Chevrolet Tahoe to receive a few minor changes and updates for the 2019 model year, which could be the last model year of the current, fourth-generation Tahoe as the next Tahoe is expected for the 2020-2021 model years.
Following is speculative and unconfirmed information about the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe. This page is a continuous work-in-progress and will be updated on a regular basis as we await official details from General Motors and Chevrolet.
If you notice any inaccuracies about the information provided, or have edits to suggest, please let us know here.
Following are our expectations of the 2019 Chevy Tahoe:
- Minor changes to features/equipment group structure
- One or two new exterior colors
- One or two new interior color combinations
- Introduction of all-new MyLink infotainment system
- No changes to powertrain, or possible introduction of the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission across all trim levels/models
The 2019 Chevy Tahoe continues to be offered as a full-size four-door SUV. An extended-length variant is available as the Chevrolet Suburban.
Like all fourth-generation units of the Chevrolet Tahoe, the 2019 Tahoe continues to ride on GM’s GMT K2 platform shared with the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, as well as the Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV. The same basic architecture is also used by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
We expect the 2019 Tahoe to follow the regular GM model year rollover sequence, and launch in the third quarter of the 2018 calendar year.
We expect that the 2019 model year will be the last year of production for the fourth-gen Chevy Tahoe, and that an all-new, next Chevy Tahoe will launch in the 2020-2021 model years.
