2019 Cadillac Escalade
We expect the Cadillac Escalade to receive a few minor changes and updates for the 2019 model year, which could be the last model year of the current, fourth-generation Escalade as the next Escalade is expected for the 2020-2021 model years.
Following is speculative and unconfirmed information about the 2019 Cadillac Escalade. This page is a continuous work-in-progress and will be updated on a regular basis as we await official details from General Motors and Cadillac.
If you notice any inaccuracies about the information provided, or have edits to suggest, please let us know here.
Following are our expectations of the 2019 Escalade:
- Minor changes to features/equipment group structure
- One or two new exterior colors
- One or two new interior color combinations
- Introduction of all-new CUE infotainment system (CUE 3.0)
- No changes to powertrain, or possible introduction of new Cadillac Twin-Turbo 4.2L V-8 engine
The 2019 Cadillac Escalade continues to be offered as a full-size four-door SUV and extended-length full-size four-door SUV for the Escalade ESV.
Like all fourth-generation units of the Cadillac Escalade, the 2019 Escalade continues to ride on GM’s GMT K2 platform shared with the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL. The same basic architecture is also used by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
We expect the 2019 Cadillac Escalade to follow the regular GM model year rollover sequence, and launch in the third quarter of the 2018 calendar year.
We expect that the 2019 model year will be the last year of production for the fourth-generation Cadillac Escalade, and that an all-new, next Cadillac Escalade will launch in the 2020-2021 model years.
