2019 Buick Enclave
We expect the Buick Enclave to receive a few minor changes and updates for the 2019 model year, representing the second model year of the second-generation Enclave.
Following is speculative and unconfirmed information about the 2019 Buick Enclave. This page is a continuous work-in-progress and will be updated on a regular basis as we await official details from General Motors and Buick.
If you notice any inaccuracies about the information provided, or have edits to suggest, please let us know here.
Following are our expectations of the 2019 Buick Enclave:
- Minor changes to features/equipment group structure
- One or two new exterior colors
- One or two new interior color combinations
- No changes to powertrain lineup
The 2019 Buick Enclave continues to be offered as a full-size four-door crossover utility vehicle (CUV) with three rows of seating.
Like all second-generation units of the Buick Enclave, the 2019 Enclave continues to ride on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform (or “Chi”) shared with the following vehicles:
- 2018 and newer Chevrolet Traverse (second generation)
We expect the 2019 Cadillac XT6 will ride on the same long-wheelbase version of the C1 architecture.
Meanwhile, the short-wheelbase version of the C1 platform is used to underpin the following vehicles:
- 2017 and newer Cadillac XT5 (first generation)
- 2018 and newer GMC Acadia (second generation)
We expect the 2019 Buick Enclave to follow the regular GM model year rollover sequence, and launch on or before the third quarter of calendar year 2018.
We expect that the current, second-generation Buick Enclave will remain in production for at least the 2019, 2020, and 2021, 2022, 2023 and probably the 2024 model years, and that an all-new, future Buick Enclave will launch in the vicinity of the 2025 model year.
