GM Invests Another $44.5 Million Into LGR Assembly Plant

That’s slightly less than what the workers saw in 2011.
The plant will be shuttered in November, and currently employs GM hourly workers and Delphi employees making products for Delphi.
GM’s manufacturing division sees a sudden move.
The facility currently employs roughly 1,500 people.
The plant will keep certain employees and team leaders for line maintenance and training.
The new jobs will help the plant keep up the pace while it retools for the next generation of GM SUVs.
