43Sponsored Links
Chevy’s all-new 2020 Corvette will initially offer five wheel options, comprised of one standard wheel and four available wheels. GM Authority has compiled a comprehensive guide to 2020 Corvette wheels, complete with pictures, availability info, and other details for your browsing and shopping pleasure.
All five 2020 Corvette wheel options are made of aluminum, feature a staggered 19-inch front and 20 inch rear setup and are 8.5 inches wide, while varying in design and finish.
In addition, wheel availability is the same across 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT models, meaning each trim level receives the same standard wheel – the bright silver-painted Q8P. One of the five sets (5DF) is a Genuine Corvette Accessory, thus they are included as a second set of wheels when purchased. All 2020 Corvette wheels available from the factory are shown below.
- Q8P Bright Silver painted
- QEQ Carbon Flash-painted with machined edge
- QES Machined-face and Sterling Silver-painted
- QET Machined-face and Spectra Gray-painted
- 5DF Black painted
The table below lists the 5 sets of 2020 Corvette wheels, along with the corresponding RPO Codes, diameters, widths, finishes, and trim level availability.
RPO Code | Material | Diameter (inches) | Width (inches) | Finish | Trim Level Availability |
---|---|---|---|---|---|

I don’t see 5 different wheels. I see 2 wheels with different “finish” options. And where is the chrome?
Chrome wheels are so tacky. I’m glad they aren’t an option.
Chrome makes any car pop! Painted looks cheap, Black is downright NASTY. From a 5 time Corvette owner, 63, 68, 63 SWC, 99, 05.
C8 is butt ugly regardless of the wheel.
On the wheels I think the color of the car has a lot to do with what kind of wheels. The 5 new wheels I have to agree Zander,I actually only see 2 different wheel designs with different finishes
I agree with you. Although your screenname is ironic for not liking chrome wheels 😛
Only old farts with their minds stuck in the 50’s would think that chrome wheels would look good on a sports car.
If you are a dying fan of Liberace and poor taste, this is not your car.
I have this beautiful CHROME accessory on my very tasteful ride. And I couldn’t be prouder for it. If you’re going to assume yourself, do it in CHROME.😉

Yes, I used to get my wheels chromed when they didn’t come that way OEM, not cheap from LA Wheel and they just don’t last, sooner or later the guy putting some new tires on is going to mess them up.
Kinda glad they moved away from them, focus more on the car.
Yep no chrome option unless a dealer does it for you. I like the QES or QET. It that would depend on the color of the car. A polished aluminum would be nice though.
The black trident wheels are $2700 FYI.
the c8 is like the toothpaste tube of the automotive news world.
just when you thought they’ve squeezed everything out of it, it gives a little more.
have we covered brake caliper colors, side rocker options, and wing options yet?
Not impressed with the wheel choices. I have the optional Motorsports polished aluminum wheels on my 2019. They really make the car.
All very interesting.. but not as much as another reason to buy a Chevrolet C8 Corvette is that French Company Faurecia who makes the Interiors for Bugatti and Ferrari makes the interior for the C8 Corvette as well.
8.5″ width on the front & back seems a bit narrow by comparison to similar rides.
My 2017 Camaro came with 10″ wide in front, 11″ wide in back.
A benefit of having the weight of an engine and transmission over the rear tires. You no longer need ridiculously wide tires to get the car to hook up. The Z06 and ZR1 variants will probably have wider tires.
Author goofed. Actual is:
8.5×19 front
11×20 rear
Article is incorrect on wheel width:,
Wheel Size:
Front: 19-inch x 8.5-inch (w/5 x 120mm bolt pattern)
Rear: 20-inch x 11-inch (w/5 x 120mm bolt pattern)
Tire Type and Size:
Stingray: Michelin Pilot Sport ALS
Stingray with Z51: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Front: 245/35ZR19
Rear: 305/30ZR20
As a c7 GS Owner I’m curious if they will be made in china too?
#bendywheelissues.
#tireswithnosidewallissue
The width information is incorrect. The rear tires are >300mm section width, meaning at least 11″ wide wheels. Yes, the non-Stingray models will have wider wheels and tires.
5 different version of Narrow tire and wheel package. Not impressive. My 18 ZL1 13in on rear and 12in front. That’s a footprint. Sorry Corvette owners.
Z06 is allegedly going to have 800HP per reports. Woooooooooow
GM will completely crush it with this vehicle.
That one will take deep pockets. Don’t ask how much either.
Wooooooooooow ! Lol
Why do you think that?
The Base Vette only went up a couple thousand from the C7. Why would the upcoming Z06 not follow the same?
Some one has to for R&D ? $60K Chevrolet is not making money at that price, took alot of money and time to make the C7 Z06 what it is ? If it don’t make dollars it don’t make cents !!! That my opinion.
The most important information about the wheels has been left out. Are they stationary cast, die cast or centrifugally cast? Which casting Aluminum alloy is being used? Or are they forged? What forging alloy is being used? Cheapest, weakest and lowest cost is stationary casting. Most expensive, strongest, higher cost is forging. For narrow rims like these, I would suspect that stationary casting is being used.
Paul P, the process used for these wheels is Flow Forming. A narrow wheel is made and then they are formed to a wider bed by pull force while keeping the low mass of the original cast.
Bob, there are non existent Ferrari or Lamborghini or Aston Martins with Chrome Wheels. Neither Audi R8 or BMW M or MB AMG’s use chrome. Come on. Chrome is going away even in front ends, unless you are a Kenworth semi driver.
Chrome, besides being one of the worst pollutants in the world looks like a Galaxy 500 option.
The wheels are made in Mexico, most of them.
I like the car but not a fan of that wheel selection. Maybe in future versions…
Nice enough selection, like the less busy ones better, the others remind me of the honeycomb ones on the old Firebirds and Camaros. But for 60 large, don’t complain, this is a tremendous amount of car for the price that a competitor can’t get out for double the price for the performance. Can’t wait until an all-wheel-drive one for here in Colorado, it’s in the plans as is a Twin Turbo V6, Supercharger, and various other editions paying homage to Zora. Chevy finally did it, almost got it 10 years ago, but wouldn’t be a good idea coming out with it with bankruptcy.
Black Water,
TT V6 isn’t in the cards. This is not a Ford.
You got to have a chrome wheel option! Love the car, hate the wheel options. I hope the correct sizes are 19″ x 8.5 front and 20″ x 11 rear. Who would want sausage rear tires on a Corvette.
Who would want pizza cutters on the front ?
Those wheels look like they should be on an antique McCormick-Deering tractor!
definitely need a chrome or polished wheel option. The 5 spoke are the only exceptable wheel imo.
I just came back from Corvettes at Carlisle and seen at least 10 C8’s , the wheel designs are the worst I have seen for corvette. I visited the parking lots full of every year corvette and bright wheels are the choice, polished , machined, or chrome please and needed for the C8. After 6 months of looking at the camo car, I was thinking … my god the wheels are so damn ugly and just maybe theses are Camo wheels and not production wheels that we will be seeing.
Just came back from Corvettes @ Carlisle where we saw 14 of the new C8s.
If I was ordering today it would be the QET.
