This strikingly beautiful 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS currently for sale by SuperSport Classics in Clearwater, Florida at a reasonable $13,500 would make a great addition to a Chevy fan’s garage.
With 72,000 original miles on the clock and two previous owners, this seventh-gen Impala is in excellent condition. The drivetrain is all original and runs incredibly well. Everything – like the doors, windows, and trunk – is power, and the air conditioning runs cold to keep you comfortable all summer long. The exterior Dark Cherry Metallic paint is in impeccable condition, as is the clean grey and white interior.
Power is derived from GM’s 5.7-liter LS1 V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission delivering 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. Standard equipment includes power steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, full coil suspension setup, rear decklid spoiler, and an all leather interior with bucket seats, among other features.
This four-door Impala is, of course, equipped with the SS performance package, as well as the Preferred Equipment Group. The latter gives this bad boy 6-way adjustable power seats, an auto day/night rearview mirror, AM/FM radio with seek-scan, a CD player, and theft alarm. Even the original window sticker is included.
The seventh-gen Impala is a collector status car, and the Impala SS is even more so. We definitely tip our hats to this stunning Chevy sedan and the previous owners who managed to keep it in such excellent condition, as it becomes increasingly hard to find unmodified and well-kept seventh-gen ‘Palas these days.
