Working overtime can be difficult. Being tired and sore, slugging down another cup of coffee probably isn’t gonna help. But the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado can help, as demonstrated in this latest Silverado video ad.
Clocking in at just 30 seconds, the spot is quick and to the point. It follows Chevy’s ongoing “Real people. Not Actors” advertising format, and shows a number of people checking out the latest Chevrolet Silverado.
The video spot then demonstrates the Chevrolet Silverado‘s Durabed, its optional LED cargo area lighting, which makes it easy to see what’s in the bed, and the optional 120-volt (household-style) power outlet located near the tailgate, which makes it easy to plug in whatever needs power. The ad also sheds some light (pun intended) on the other Silverado trims, which are the most in the truck’s history for the 2019 model year.
Further features of the Durabed in the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado include high-strength, roll-formed steel construction, 12 standard tie-downs, and an optional power release tailgate.
The Chevrolet Silverado’s short bed cargo box measures in at 69.92 inches long, 50.63 inches wide and 22.4 inches tall. Total cargo volume is 62.9 square feet. Meanwhile, the standard bed is 79.44 inches long, 50.63 inches wide and 22.4 inches tall, with total cargo volume measuring in at 71.7 square feet. Go for the long-bed configuration, and the pickup’s bed grows to 98.18 inches long, 50.63 inches wide, and 22.5 inches tall, providing as much as 89.1 square feet of space of cargo space.
While LED cargo lighting and a 120-volt outlet might not seem like the most impactful features on paper, they’re still definitely nice to have, especially when in the unknowns of sundown. Beyond the obvious work-related benefits, it’s probably nice to have at an impromptu after-hours tailgate party or when camping.
