Chevrolet Camaro sales increased 2 percent to 12,083 units in the first quarter of 2019, rebounding slightly after a prolonged sales slump. But Chevy still has unsold 2018 model year vehicles on dealer lots, even though the refreshed 2019 Camaro has already arrived and the 2020 Camaro will get a few updates and changes along with a new LT1 trim level. So, in what could be an effort to continue growing sales volume while also selling off the last of 2018 models, a Camaro discount reduces the price of most 2018 models by 15 percent.
Nationwide Camaro discounts in May 2019 are as follows:
- 2018 Camaro discount: 15 percent below MSRP on most 2018 models
- The small print on this offer reads as follows: offer includes price reduction below MSRP and cash allowance. Not available with special financing, lease and some other offers. Take new retail delivery by 5/31/19. See participating dealer for details.
- We should note that Chevrolet offered the same incentive in March and did so again in April
- 2018 Camaro customer cash: $1,000 customer cash on any 2018 model
- 2018 Camaro finance offer: $1,000 APR cash + 0 percent APR (interest-free) for 72 months
- 2019 Camaro customer cash: $500 customer cash
For reference, here are the applicable 2018 and 2019 Camaro trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs:
- 1LS – $26,900
- 1LT – $27,695
- 2LT – $31,495
- 1SS – $37,995
- 2SS – $42,995
- ZL1 – $62,495
- LS – $25,995
- 1LT – $26,495
- 2LT – $28,495
- 3LT – $31,995
- 1SS – $37,595
- 2SS – $42,995
- 1SE (ZL1) – $62,995
The headline-making 15 percent Camaro discount applies to the entire gamut of Camaro models, and does not exclude the range-topping ZL1. Applying this offer to a base 2018 Camaro ZL1 slashes the starting MSRP to $53,045 from $62,495.
Meanwhile, the $1,000 Chevrolet Camaro discount as it applies to an in-stock 2018 Camaro 2SS model with a base MSRP of $42,995 reduces the starting price of that model to $41,995, while, the $500 Chevrolet discount brings the starting price of the 2019 Camaro ZL1 to $61,995.

- Incentive for the United States of America, unless otherwise specified.

About Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevrolet Camaro is a family of sports cars that includes a two-door coupe and two-door soft-top convertible as well as various performance variants such as SS, 1LE, ZL1 and ZL1 1LE. The legendary nameplate was first introduced in 1966 and went out of production in 2002, when the model was in its fourth generation. The Camaro was re-introduced in 2009 as an all-new fifth-generation model based on the GM Zeta platform.
The Camaro is currently Chevrolet's most affordable sports car, slotting below the Chevrolet Corvette. The current model was introduced for the 2016 model year and represents the sixth generation of the Camaro nameplate. The model rides on the GM Alpha platform shared with the Cadillac ATS and Cadillac CTS, though the majority of the architecture underpinning the Camaro are unique to it.
The 2018 Chevy Camaro represents the third model year of the sixth-gen Camaro that deleted the Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition and the Krypton Green exterior color, while adding the ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package. There's also an expanded availability of the SS 1LE Track Performance Package, which is now available on the 2SS Coupe, as well as the addition of a washer fluid level sensor.
A midcycle refresh arrives for the 2019 model year that introduces new, model-specific front and rear styling, a new trim level structure for LT models that adds a new 3LT trim, and a new 1LE track performance package for the 2.0L Turbo LTG engine. The 2019 Camaro also brings the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission for SS models, the Rear Camera Mirror, third-generation infotainment systems, and various other enhancements.
