“The Camaro Show” has ever-so-kindly invited our own Manoli Katakis back to the studio for a special episode. In the latest episode, GM Authority talks about what’s new with GMA and General Motors as whole.
From the 2018 SEMA show, to the Chevrolet Camaro, and trucks, “The Camaro Show” dove into everything GM related and widened the scope outside of the pony car this time around.
But, things kick off with a rather intriguing Camaro from the SEMA show: the eCOPO Camaro. The all-electric Camaro drag racer bowed with GM’s first 800-volt battery pack that helps make more than 700 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Two BorgWarner HVH 250-150 motors provide the drive. It’s a revolutionary concept from Chevrolet, and it could be a harbinger for things to come as the automaker puts all its chips on electrification in the future. It also does a pretty impressive burnout.
The conversation touches on a lot of the major components of GM today, right now, right here. And Katakis brings a new perspective to the conversation with his extensive background knowledge on the automaker. Of course, the conversation isn’t without its chuckles, beer conversations and discussion about why electric cars aren’t nearly as clean as automakers make them out to be.
