Chevrolet likely answered a lot of wishes with the introduction of the 2019 Silverado Custom Trailboss. We say that because the Custom Trailboss is a no-frills off-road oriented pickup truck from the factory.
No, it’s not Colorado ZR2 levels of capability, but the 2019 Silverado Custom Trailboss does include a handful of goodies and should boast a fair price tag; the Custom Trailboss falls under Chevy’s “high value” pillar of pickups. The new trim features a 2-inch suspension lift and the Z71 off-road package standard. The truck also packs locking rear differential, skid plates, Rancho shocks, 18-inch wheels and Goodyear Duratrac off-road tires.
The front fascia also sports a different grille with “Chevrolet” spelled out across and no bowtie badge.
We’re quite interested to see how Chevrolet will price the affordable off-roader and how it will compare to the 2019 Silverado LT Trailboss. We imagine the LT Trailboss will include additional creature comforts over the Custom Trailboss.
The 2019 Silverado Custom Trailboss is part of Chevrolet’s strategy to build a truck for every price and persona. The brand will offer eight separate trims when the truck goes on sale this fall.
