The 2018 Chevrolet Traverse will ask an all-important question at the 2017 SEMA show: “Sup?” Not really. “SUP” actually stands for “stand-up paddleboard” and it’s what this SEMA concept encompasses.
Chevrolet integrated a handful of accessories for stand-up paddleboarders, a sport the brand says continues to grow at a quick pace, and finished the 2018 Traverse SUP in a beachy two-tone hue. The major accessories on board are the stand-up paddleboard carrier by Thule and a Riviera Paddlesurf paddleboard.
Chevrolet Accessories provided the 20-inch wheels, assist steps, black emblems and grille insert and Traverse-embroidered headrests. Chevrolet calls the exterior paint scheme “Blue Wave” with yellow stripes.
Chevrolet is far from finished with SEMA concepts. It plans to show 20 concepts in total at the SEMA show, which kicks off on October 31. In the meantime, let us know what you’d like to see from the brand.
