Steve Wozniak knows a thing or two about cool gadgets. As the second man behind the behemoth that is Apple, the Woz still likes to comb through the latest technology to see what he likes the most.
Shockingly, he’s a huge fan of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV and it sounds like he likes it more than his Tesla Model S, too.
“Tesla is a fine car. It’s just high price,” Wozniak said on CNBC’s Squawk Box.
He also went on to say he likes the spaciousness of the 2017 Bolt EV more than his Model S and he thinks the sound system is of higher quality to listen to music. He went on to critique one aspect of his Model S in particular compared to the Bolt EV: the center touchscreen.
“I hate [it],” said Wozniak of the Model S’ massive center screen. “I am sure a lot of accidents have been caused by people just trying to hang up their phone and hit the right button on that big screen. A nice little knob like in Mercedes or something to get through menus even while you are driving.”
The Woz purchased his own 2017 Bolt EV at the beginning of this year after he originally said he and his wife agreed on a second Tesla. However, the Bolt EV has become his preferred daily driver and he feels the 238 miles of range is plenty to get him where he wants to go.
In addition to the Bolt EV, Wozniak also said he adores his Apple Watch, too.
“I just love it. I love every time I use it. It helps me. I love it so much,” says Wozniak. “Not having to grab a phone out of a pocket. I don’t like to be one of those people who pulls phones out of pockets.”
