Remember Hummer? We remember Hummer. Even dealers remember Hummer because they miss that consumer that used to crowd showrooms. The bulging, capable SUVs that would roam more shopping plazas than ever see the lesser beaten path. They embodied America at a certain point in time, when consumers loved SUVs, gas was cheap and things were simpler.
Now, we expect a little more from our vehicles in 2017. They need to be stylish and functional; fuel efficient and full of performance; capable, yet livable. None of those fragments really describe the Hummer H2 very well. But, Doug Demuro has described the SUV with a list of why it’s the most embarrassing vehicle you can drive.
The video goes on through the exterior, interior and even under the hood to show why the H2 was really a poser in military grade clothing. Unlike the H1, which really was the real deal, the H2 aimed to take that package into something more livable and less expensive… with moderate success.
It looked the part, but substance was ultimately lacking with strange dash control layouts, cheap materials and quirks you’d never think of without spending time behind the wheel. We won’t list them all, but you can watch Demuro lay them out in the video above.
