By the time the 2018 Buick Enclave arrives, it will have been 10 years since the nameplate first went on sale. That means the current Buick Enclave has, in fact, been around for three U.S. presidents: George W. Bush, Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump.
That’s a lot of time and the Enclave has gotten longer in the tooth than anyone could have imagined. Yet, don’t fret. An all-new Enclave is coming very shortly, slated to debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show. So, with just over a month before the wraps are taken off of it, we’re here to ask what you’d like to see from the 2018 Enclave.
There are a lot of areas to hone in on. Design, refinement, powertrain, amenities etc. We’re certain the 2018 Enclave will take a much more SUV-like profile, following in the footsteps of the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse. The latest spy shots of the 2018 Enclave confirm this, showing a sleek, squared-off look over the bulbous profile found on the Enclave today.
As for refinement, the current Enclave’s interior is… dated. We’d expect the same inspiration found in the 2017 Buick LaCrosse to find a home in the 2018 Enclave. We also think the Enclave will make a move into an even more premium territory as the first North American vehicle to be placed under Buick’s new Avenir sub-brand, much like Denali is to GMC.
