The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV has received scads of awards and recognition since entering production last year. Among the awards is the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year, 2017 North American Car of the Year and more.
What would be the cherry atop this mound of recognition? World Green Car of the Year, of course.
The 2017 Bolt EV is currently in the hunt for the award but faces stiff competition. The finalists, revealed by a jury of 75 automotive journalists, are:
- Chevrolet Bolt EV
- Honda Clarity
- Hyundai Ioniq
- Tesla Model X
- Toyota Prius Prime
The Bolt EV has faced stiff competition before, though, and has prevailed. The World Car of the Year winners will be announced at the 2017 New York International Auto Show beginning on April 12, 2017.
Don’t do me any good, I live in Michigan. I can’t by a Chevy Bolt!!! Why GM. Why ????
Just be patient and wait. I have waited since 2010 for the Volt yet I cannot buy one in Puerto Rico. BTW, you can order and buy the Bolt EV in another state and ship it. Go to “http://www.chevybolt.org/” and read how several Bolt EV owners did it.
I wonder if GM took into account the amount of good PR they would get with this car. It is definitely giving them a lot of positive news.
The 2017 Chevy Bolt can win easily against a H2 “Fool Sell”, two weak hybrids, and a triple-the-cost electric.
