The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is about as fuel efficient as you think it would be. And if you’re thinking it might be “okay”, then we’d politely ask you to reevaluate your definition of “okay.”
The EPA has released its official fuel economy estimates for the 2017 Camaro ZL1, and they are some low, very low, numbers. If you choose to row your own, the Camaro ZL1 will guzzle down 6.2 gallons of gasoline every 100 miles for 14 MPG city, 20 highway and 16 combined.
Should you go after the all-new 10-speed automatic gearbox, things don’t get better. City fuel economy drops to 12 MPG, highway holds steady at 20 MPG and the combined rating falls to 15 MPG.
Obviously, we’re well aware fuel economy is not a deciding factor when eying up a 2017 Camaro ZL1, but do know you’ll be making good friends with your local gas pump upon purchasing a ZL1.
