As LSXMagazine reports, Nitrous Express released some hyped up new goodies at the PRI 2016 show in Indianapolis. What caught our eye is the refined 6.2L LT4 supercharger lid, which deletes the factory noise dampener and optimizes performance.
Aside from making that sexy supercharger whine more audible, the Nitrous Express lid has a raised clearance which improves air flow, thus increasing power.
The lid also allows you to run methanol or nitrous more efficiently by spraying directly over each runner of the intake manifold. Mike Abney of Nitrous Express explains the benefits of running such a setup, “These cars are easy to make horsepower [with], but they do run out of fuel system eventually, so a lot of guys will put methanol on them to extended the fuel system. This water methanol system is compatible to go all the way up to 110 methanols. So this will spray methanol above each port, to make sure the extra fuel you’re adding is more even cylinder-to-cylinder.”
In addition to this fancy new lid, Nitrous Express also debuted its Maximizer 5 controller which is now offered with touch-screen controls and built-in data logging.
The Dodge SRT Hellcat nitrous plate was introduced at the show as well. Those Hellcat owners are going to need the extra 250HP it offers if they want to keep up with modified LT4-powered beasts, which include the Cadillac CTS-V, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, and 2017 Camaro ZL1.
Unfortunately we couldn’t find any pricing info on the LT4 lid through the Nitrous Express website.
