Were you unable to get your hands on a Ferrari LaFerrari? Have no fear, Exotic Rides is here. The Orlando, Florida-based company has revealed its W70 LaFerrari lookalike, according to Maxim. However, the differences stop short at the styling.
Power sits in the middle of the vehicle, like the LaFerrari, but instead, there’s a GM-sourced 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine under the hood making 626 hp. The LS7 V8 has also been paired to a Porsche-sourced six-speed manual gearbox.
A small block V8 sitting behind the driver? It’s not the mid-engine Corvette that everybody has been anticipating, but it’s what we’ve got for now – along with the Aria Group Fast Eddy mid-engine Corvette concept.
While it may look like a Ferrari, Exotic Rides has used a conventional aluminum tube frame design, rather than the exotic carbon fiber construction found on the Ferrari TheFerrari. And with that plug, we’ve provided your dose of James May for the day.
Pre-orders have started for the W70 and it will set you back a cool $250,000 if you’re so inclined to purchase one. And if you’ve always wanted to drive a real-life vehicle that looks as if it’s been plucked from Grand Theft Auto. A vehicle that will likely be forlorn once an actual mid-engine Corvette shows up.
