Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann accepted the “Paul Pietsch Award” for the Ampera-e, which honors the most innovative technology found in a vehicle.
“The Ampera-e is the electric car for everyday use. Nobody has to worry about not being able to continue his or her journey due to a flat battery, thanks to its range of over 500 kilometers. And, as the ‘Paul Pietsch Award’ demonstrates, the Ampera-e is not just visionary, it is also reality – it will be at dealerships this year already,” said Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann at the award ceremony held in the International Congress-Center Stuttgart.
Among competitors, the Amepera-e secured 41 percent of the final vote, which was 10 points higher than the closest rival.
