We’re only nine days into the year 2017, but the Bolt EV is having a very good year thus far.
This morning, at the 2017 North American International Auto Show, the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV was named the 2017 North American Car of the Year. The Bolt EV’s recognition marks the fourth vehicle in four years to receive the NACTOY award; the C7 Corvette, Silverado and Colorado have all also been recognized.
The Bolt EV was up against two very different contenders to secure the award. The Genesis G90 and Volvo S90 both were in the running for the prestigious award, but the Bolt EV prevailed.
This latest award only adds to the Bolt EV’s trophy case following numerous other accolades from across the automotive industry, including the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year.
