Today, Opel divulged more details on how the 2018 Insignia Grand Sport would deliver regarding performance and drivability. One major player will be the FlexRide chassis and the advanced all-wheel drive system.
Words are one thing, but seeing the system in action is another. Luckily, Opel has supplied video of the 2018 Insignia Grand Sport having a go at the Nürburgring. With the video, Andreas Zipser, lead engineer for the Insignia program, describes what makes the system so advanced and what the vehicle is doing for the driver as it adapts the dampers, steering and propulsion automatically.
Or, if you don’t want the car to think for itself, Opel engineers have crafted a ‘Standard’, ‘Tour’ and ‘Sport’ mode that may be selected. Drivers can also save their favorites settings and tweaks to the Sport system for the optimal drive.
