It was a special SEMA show for Chevrolet. 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro, and it wouldn’t be a party without a few special Chevrolet Camaro concepts.
Chevrolet certainly delivered with four different Camaros on the show floor: the Camaro AutoX, Camaro Slammer, Camaro Drag Racing Prototype and COPO Camaro. But there’s an even more significant Camaro, and Chevrolet took time to honor it.
The brand brought Camaro 001 to the 2016 SEMA Show, which was produced at the Norwood, Ohio assembly in 1966, one of 49 initial cars.
Of course, Chevrolet has spent much of 2016 honoring the Camaro as a whole, too. And if you’ve been under a rock, do check out the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary special edition.
