With Election Day nearly here, Swapalease decided to put together an unrelated poll to shed some light on how political parties view themselves when it comes to vehicles. Unsurprisingly, the results match similar doings across time, with Republicans picking sports cars, and Democrats choosing more fuel efficient vehicles.
This time, Republicans identified more as Corvettes, and Democrats saw themselves as Teslas. About 2,500 people participated in the opt-in survey, which skewed more towards Republicans than Democrats. Gender was also more heavily male than female, with more males saying Corvette and females saying Tesla.
Other vehicular personalities that registered included the Honda Accord, Chevrolet Volt, Hummer and Ford F-150.
When it came to choosing a ride for either presidential candidate, respondents chose a Cadillac Escalade for Donald Trump, and a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class for Hillary Clinton.
However, when asked about the state and personality of this year’s election, the majority of respondents chose a “driverless car.”
