Another day, another 2018 C7 Corvette ZR1 sighting. At this point, it really does seem the C7 Corvette ZR1 will show face at the 2017 North American International Auto Show as rumors have stated. We keep seeing this car often as of recent.
Anyway, this time the Corvette team seems to have taken the wrong route home, as a fleet of Corvettes became trapped in traffic somewhere in Michigan. Two Corvette ZR1 prototypes are included in the convoy, while we can also see a red C7 Corvette Z06 tagging along as well.
One prototype is also wearing the massive rear wing we’ve seen on occasion, while the other seems to be a convertible variant, which was spotted for the first time not too long ago.
We’re still in the dark on what’s powering the Corvette ZR1, but an even more powerful 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8 engine seems plausible. Other rumors point to an LT5 V8 engine debuting alongside the ZR1.
Check out the footage in the video right up above, while we eagerly anticipate a reveal for this monstrous Corvette.
I hope that this new ZR-1 has all the super car traits especially a top speed of over 210 mph; 1/4 mile times of about 10.3 seconds; 0-150 mph under 12 seconds; 0-180 mph under 19 seconds; and 775 bhp with 750 lb-ft; ring times under 6min 50secs. Is this too difficult for GM engineers to achieved?
