The Fast Lane Truck is at it again to see how some of today’s toughest trucks handle the Super Ike Gauntlet on an eight-mile stretch of interstate.
Not only is it just an eight-mile stretch of interstate, but it features a seven percent grade and maximum elevation gain of over 2,000 feet, making it the steepest interstate in the United States.
This time, the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Midnight Edition tackled the test, loaded up to max payload in an effort to test the truck’s true performance. Gross combined weight of the entire payload? 21,800 pounds.
