The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is bonkers. Outright bonkers. That’s a pretty great way to sum it up. The Alpha platform provides excellent structure, and the 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8 has the guts to have it scream like a bat out of hell all the time.
The Lexus GS-F on the other hand is a very different machine. It’s naturally aspirated, 5.0-liter V8 puts out much less power, but Motor Trend and our favorite Head 2 Head pair decided to pit the two against each other. Why? The starting prices are very similar, and both are midsize sedans with a little special something.
We won’t spoil the outcome, but we will say it was a surprising close call. What the Lexus lacks in power, it makes up for in a superb driving chassis, and a more natural steering feel. Click play right up above.
