Each year, Corvette Racing misses out on the IMSA WeatherTech United Sportscar Championship race at Detroit, as they are busy preparing for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That’s no reason for Corvette fans to opt out of watching the race, however, as the Prototype class Corvette Daytona Prototypes are typically very competitive at the 13-turn road course.
If you’re interested in catching the IMSA race at Detroit this weekend, FS1 will air the race live with coverage starting at 12:30 p.m. ET Saturday. If you don’t have the channel, just head over to IMSA.tv when the race goes green at 12:40 p.m. to tune in. For a complete schedule of IMSA happenings in Detroit this weekend, click here.
Last year brothers Jordan and Ricky Taylor put their Wayne Taylor Racing Konica Minolta Corvette DP in victory lane on the tight road course and will be looking to replicate the result this year. The pairing also claimed victory there in 2013 and 2014.
